workdna is in beta. The product is changing weekly. These terms are short on purpose: I want you to be able to read them in two minutes and decide.
What you are agreeing to
By signing in to workdna with GitHub, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not sign in.
What you can do
Use workdna for its intended purpose: classifying your own software engineering work, and (with your team) seeing aggregated team-level metrics. Personal use, professional use, and use inside a company are all fine. Sharing your sign-in with someone else is not.
What you cannot do
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract data from workdna other than your own account's data.
- Use the service to harass, surveil, or target individuals. The product is built specifically against that pattern; do not try to bend it.
- Resell or sublicense the service. We do not have a partner program yet.
Beta means beta
workdna is provided as-is, with no warranties. Classifications can be wrong. Charts can mislead. Features may change or disappear without notice. If a metric on your dashboard is the basis of a high-stakes decision, treat it as one input among many, not the truth. We will fix bugs as fast as we can and be honest when we cannot.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, workdna is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, which during beta is zero.
Account termination
You can request your account and all associated data be deleted at any time via the contact form. I will confirm within two business days. We can also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we believe are being used to harm individuals; we will tell you why.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes (new restriction, new fee, new jurisdiction) we will update this page and bump the "last updated" date above. For changes that affect existing users, we will also send an email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of San Francisco County, California.
